Buying Advice

Last Updated: June 27, 2019

Declining Sales: While the Pacifica is one of the better selling vehicles in the minivan segment, Chrysler dealerships have moved 28.6% fewer Pacifica models so far this year compared to the same span in 2018. The bargain-priced Dodge Grand Caravan is outselling the Pacifica by nearly 50 percent.

Low Prices: A base Pacifica costs $26,985, which is one of the least expensive starting prices in the class. A top-trim Pacifica costs nearly $1,000 below the class average for fully-loaded models when excluding the budget friendly Grand Caravan. Even when fully-loaded, the Dodge minivan only costs $32,290.

Time to Buy: Considering the Pacifica’s sliding demand, now is a good time to hunt for below-sticker prices at the dealership. In addition to low prices, the Pacifica was named a finalist for both the 2019 Best Minivan for the Money and 2019 Best Minivan for Families awards. If you aren’t sold on a minivan, consider a 3-row SUV like the Chevy Traverse, which was the winner of our 2019 Best 3-Row SUV for Families thanks in part to its voluminous seating and cargo space. This month’s Chevy deals can help you find the best lease and financing offers.
