2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Overview

Reviewers said the 2010 Silverado 1500 offered a ride that is both comfortable and composed, with good handling and pleasant ride quality. Few reviewers tested its base V6, but one who did said it makes the Silverado feel sluggish. Most tested one of the three available V8 engines, and found that they each provide ample power. Several reviewers said the 5.3- and 6.2-liter units make the truck feel quite fast. Two- or four-wheel drive were offered on the 2010 Silverado 1500. A base model with two-wheel drive and the V6 engine achieve 15/20 mpg city/highway, although the reviewer-favorite 5.3-liter V8 actually delivers slightly better ratings of 15/21 mpg. The Silverado can tow up to 10,700 pounds when equipped with the 6.2-liter V8.

Reviewers generally liked the Silverado’s cabin, and were pleased with the level of fit and finish. A regular cab model seats up to three people, while extended and crew cabs offer seats for up to six people. Most reviewers said the front seats offer ample space and comfort. Some said that the back seats of extended cab models are a little short on leg space, and most agreed that the crew cab is the most passenger-friendly configuration. Like most pickups, the base trim comes with few notable features, which include a CD stereo with an auxiliary input jack. Upper trims and option packages added features like satellite radio, leather seats, heated and power-adjustable front bucket seats, a Bose stereo, USB port, Bluetooth, navigation, a backup camera and dual-zone climate control.
