Buying Advice

Last Updated: January 18, 2019

Falling Demand: Chevy dealerships sold 22.8 percent fewer Cruze models in 2018 than they did in 2017. Compact car sales leaders like the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic are both outselling the Cruze by more than 2 to 1.

Below-Average Prices: A base Cruze sedan with an automatic transmission starts at $17,995, which is about $1,800 below the average for the class when excluding the much more expensive hybrid and electric models. The Cruze is priced nearly identically to direct competitors like the Hyundai Elantra. The Elantra starts just below $18,000 when similarly equipped.

Time to Buy: With sales plummeting so far in 2018, you’ll have a good chance of negotiating a price below sticker for the Cruze right now. This month's Chevy deals may help you find additional savings.
