The 2010 Cobalt's spacious trunk, nice entertainment options and quality materials can't redeem the car's practically non-existent comfort. First and second rows in both the sedan and coupe are considered too confining.

Front Seats

This generation of the Cobalt may be larger than its Cavalier forerunner, but several say that's not apparent from the space and comfort offered in the front row.

Rear Seats

Reviewers' sentiments concerning the Cobalt's rear row are generally negative. Most say that even for the class, the car's rear dimensions are too tight.

Interior Features

The 2010 Chevy Cobalt's interior is made well, but the design is drab for most trims. Auto writers suggest that drivers accustomed to creature comforts upgrade if they're interested in an appealing design or the Cobalt's more marquee features.

Stereo and Entertainment

The Cobalt has cool entertainment options, especially for a small car. In 2008 Chevy, made satellite radio trial standard for all trims, plus the 2LT coupe and sedan have the option for a well-liked seven-speaker Pioneer sound system. The Pioneer system is standard for the Turbo.

The Cobalt's 13.9 cubic foot trunk will hold plenty of stuff, if you can fit it in there. More than one reviewer notes the space isn't wholly convenient due to its small trunk opening. In addition, reviewers don't jibe with the limited cabin stowage.

  • "The sedan trunk is wide and deep with a low liftover height, and almost 14 cubic feet of capacity, more than competitive in the class, though the opening to the trunk seems relatively small. ... The coupe has an even smaller trunk opening, making it difficult to stow a thick suitcase." -- New Car Test Drive
  • "Strut-type lid hinges don't steal space, but the trunk opening is too small for really big cargo. Interior storage is subpar, with a smallish glove compartment, center console, and door pockets." -- Consumer Guide
