Vehicles That Might Tempt a Tahoe Buyer

For decades, Chevrolet has offered a full-size SUV that was smaller than its very large and very capable Suburban. For more than 20 years, that spot in the lineup has been filled by the Chevrolet Tahoe. While smaller than a Suburban, the Tahoe is still large, measuring nearly 204 inches long and more than 80 inches wide. It also weighs in at more than 5,300 pounds. Maximum cargo volume is 94.7 cubic feet.

The current Tahoe retains its rugged body-on-frame construction, which it shares with the Silverado pickup truck. That helps explain the Tahoe’s trailering capabilities. Properly equipped, it can tow up to 8,600 pounds.

Owners tend to be very loyal, often buying one Tahoe after another. For some of these buyers, however, a Tahoe may no longer fit their needs, or it may simply be time to redecorate the garage. With that in mind, here are some vehicles to consider before signing up for another Tahoe.
