These Vehicles Offer V8 Power on a Budget

Nothing quite compares to the simple, naturally aspirated, raw power of a V8 engine. Though many automakers have phased the V8 out of their lineups, primarily for the sake of fuel efficiency, there are still several models that offer the burly, gas-guzzling configuration.

Since the V8 engine relies mostly on “old” technology, it doesn’t necessarily have to come at a substantial expense. Engine designers have gone to great lengths to build advanced and efficient powertrains that rely on four- or six-cylinders, but to maximize their power, most utilize forced induction via a turbocharger or supercharger. The most powerful Ford F-150 is equipped with a 450-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and it doesn’t come cheap.

For those that aren’t overly concerned about gas mileage and have a need for power, a V8 engine may be the most cost-effective option. You won’t find a V8 engine in every class, but they are available in various luxury and affordable segments.

Let’s take a look at the cheapest vehicles available today with a V8 engine.
