Must-Have Car Features for New Parents

Four Doors

There are plenty of two-door cars with rear seats, but those seats are not easy to access. It can be impossible to wedge a car seat back there and just as impossible to get a child in and out of that seat. Rear-facing infant carriers are even more of a challenge.

Opt for a car with four doors so you don’t have to struggle to secure your child. If two of those doors happen to slide, then all the better. A minivan might not be the coolest ride in the neighborhood, but you’ll be glad when it’s pouring rain or freezing cold, and you’re not stuck trying to wrangle a child into an unreachable rear seat.
