2010 Buick LaCrosse Overview

The Buick LaCrosse was completely redesigned for 2010, offering improved exterior and interior styling along with better overall performance. Previous Buicks were a throwback to earlier times and their performance lagged behind most large cars, but reviewers said things were different with this redesign.

The 2010 LaCrosse saw a number of updates over the 2009 model, which included a new six-speed automatic transmission, which helped improve performance and fuel economy when it was new. Three engines are available in the 2010 LaCrosse. Four-cylinder models are front-wheel drive, while models with the two available V6 engines offer available all-wheel drive as well. In terms of handling, reviewers felt that the LaCrosse still wasn’t sporty, but they noted that it handled better than previous models.

When it was new, reviewers raved about the LaCrosse’s interior, comparing it to luxury cars like the 2010 Lexus ES. Test drivers said the LaCrosse has a quiet, high-quality and comfortable interior. Reviewers thought that the back seats were nearly as comfortable as those up front, and they appreciated the LaCrosse’s easy-to-use controls. Standard equipment on the LaCrosse includes a power driver seat, auxiliary audio jack, a seven-speaker audio system and OnStar. Available features include leather upholstery, Bluetooth, a touch-screen navigation system and a rearview camera.

Other Cars to Consider

The redesigned 2010 Ford Taurus is a competent performer that has a spacious interior, large trunk and available high-tech features. Reviewers liked the changes Ford made to the Taurus, including its better handling and redesigned interior.

If you’re seeking a refined large sedan, the 2010 Toyota Avalon is worth checking out. The Avalon mirrors the LaCrosse with similarly good safety and performance scores, and both cars offer a spacious, high-quality cabin.
