2007 Buick LaCrosse Overview

Note: This review was created when the 2007 Buick LaCrosse was new.

The comfortable ride and quiet interior of the 2007 Buick Lacrosse aren't enough to distinguish it from competitors, auto reviewers say. AutoWeek reflects reviewer consensus by writing, "There's nothing wrong with the LaCrosse, but nothing leaps out as superb, either -- in other words, there is little to get excited about."  Edmunds notes the the "smooth, quiet ride" and powerful top-line engine, but adds "there's very little else that makes the car desirable alongside the top vehicles available in this price range."

Reviewers consistently, and often unfavorably, compare the Buick LaCrosse to the established champions of its class, the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. Compared to those competitors, Forbes finds, "the Buick LaCrosse is an elegant and capable alternative" but "doesn't match their quality or refinement." Consumer Guide determines, "No LaCrosse model matches Honda Accord or Toyota Camry for overall value." This conclusion is seemingly supported by IntelliChoice, which gives the LaCrosse a value rating of "average," based on predicted total cost of ownership compared to other vehicles in its class.
