Buying Advice

Last Updated: December 14, 2018

Improving Sales: The Buick Enclave is among the slowest-selling midsize SUVs so far this year. However, sales have increased 4.7 percent compared to this same point a year ago.

Highest Base Price in the Class: A base Enclave starts at $40,000, which is over $9,000 above the class average and the highest base price in the class. However, it does offer near-luxury grade interior materials, so if you want to be pampered, you likely won’t regret paying the premium. Alternatively, for about the same price, you can bring home a luxury midsize SUV like the Lincoln Nautilus or Cadillac XT5.

Time to Buy: With a high starting price, the Enclave isn’t a good choice for budget-conscious shoppers. However, if it’s a luxury badge you’re after, the Enclave is one of the most affordable options. For a lower price, consider its corporate cousin, the Chevy Traverse, which starts about $10,000 below the Enclave and offers cavernous cargo and seating space. This month's Buick deals and Chevy deals have all the available financing, cash back, and lease offers.
