Buying Advice

Last Updated: April 18, 2019

Rising Sales: The BMW X3 is selling 35.1 percent better in 2019 relative to the same span in 2018. Sales of the X3 sit in the top third of the luxury compact SUV sales rankings, and it’s currently outselling its sibling, the BMW X4, by over 10 to 1.

Low Prices: A base model X3 starts at $41,000, which is about $1,300 below the average for base models in the segment. Likewise, a fully-equipped X3 comes in at just $54,650, about $4,200 under the class average for top-trims.

Time to Buy: Considering the sharp rise in demand, you will likely not be able to find a bargain price on a new X3. This month's BMW deals may help you find some additional savings for an X3, a finalist for our 2019 Best Luxury Compact SUV for Families award. For a lower price, check out the Lexus NX. It starts about $4,500 below the X3, and the top-of-the-line model costs about $14,500 less than a fully-loaded X3.
