The 2019 BMW X4 Heads Into Its Second Generation With More Appeal

The completely redesigned 2019 BMW X4 made its debut at the recent 2018 Geneva Auto Show. The automaker calls the updated SUV a “Sports Activity Coupe.” The X4 is a five-door, all-wheel-drive fastback with more ground clearance than a typical car. It’s based on the recently redesigned 2018 BMW X3.

The X4 first came to market as a 2015 model and is now heading into its second generation. If you’re considering a sporty SUV with an emphasis on performance over utility, the X4 deserves a closer look. To attract new buyers, BMW improved the X4’s visual appeal and increased its size.

The automaker further improved the X4’s performance by way of a sleeker shape and lighter materials. It also gets the slightly upgraded base powertrain found in the redesigned X3.
