Fourth-Generation Honda Odyssey (2011 to 2016)

The fourth-generation Honda Odyssey, built for model years 2011 through 2016, scores very well on U.S. News & World Report’s list of the Best Used Minivans $20K and up. The 2012, 2013, and 2014 models ranked third, fourth, and fifth on the list, while the 2011 model ranked seventh.

Critics like the Odyssey’s athletic handling, large cargo area, and high-tech features. Bluetooth, a rearview camera, and a USB port, became standard with the 2013 model. The minivan gets 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, slightly better than average compared to most minivans.

The Odyssey comes with a V6 engine that provides acceleration sufficient for highway passing and merging. A five-speed automatic transmission is standard on lower trim levels for pre-2014 models; the Touring and Touring Elite models come with a six-speed automatic, which gives the Odyssey better pickup.
