2020 Jeep Gladiator

$33,545 | U.S. News Overall Score: N/A

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is an all-new pickup truck for the model year, and is not scored in our ranking of compact pickup trucks due to missing safety data. That’s no reason to write off the Gladiator though, as Jeep’s pickup certainly has what it takes to be a high-ranking model.

The Gladiator is unlike any other compact pickup truck in the class. It offers owners the ability to remove the doors and roof, and boasts some of the best off-roading capability in the segment. Beyond being able to go places other pickup trucks can’t, the Gladiator comes with two spacious rows of seating and a user-friendly infotainment system. The base infotainment setup in the Gladiator uses a 5-inch touch screen, while larger 7- and 8.4-inch versions are available.

Under the hood, every Gladiator comes with a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 285 horsepower. It’s one of the more powerful base engines for the class. A part-time four-wheel-drive system is also standard, as is a six-speed manual. A heavy-duty four-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic are available.
