According to WSAZ, a local news station, the two dogs were waiting in the car – which was left on because the owner didn’t want them to get hot – parked outside the Wal-Mart. One of the dogs knocked the gear shift into drive, slowly sending the car into the side of the Wal-Mart.

The other dog was sitting in the passenger seat and rolled down the window.

Soon after the dogs crashed into the store, an employee who saw the whole thing unfold had the manager page for owner of the car.

No one was injured in the accidents, including the dogs, who were not wearing their seatbelts at the time. Both the car and the building suffered minor damage. The dogs were not cited for reckless driving.
