2016 Chevrolet Traverse
Purchase Deals: Zero percent APR for five years or $1,000 consumer cash
If you're looking for the all-American car, you can't get any closer than the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse. Among vehicles made in America, the Traverse has one of the highest percentages of domestic materials of cars on the market today, according to the Kogod School of Business at American University, tying for first place with siblings Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia.
Chevy has two purchase deals this month for the 2016 Traverse: zero percent financing for five years or $1,000 cash back. Both are available for the 1LT trim and above, which starts at $34,005. Of these two deals, you'll save about $1,800 more over the course of your loan if you pick zero percent interest.
2016 Honda Civic
Lease Deal: $230 per month for three years with nothing due at signing
You can get a new car and save your down payment cash with this Honda lease deal. Right now, the 2016 Honda Civic is available for $230 a month for three years with no money due at signing.
The Civic is currently the No. 1 car in our rankings of the best compact cars and was our winner for the 2016 Best Compact Car for the Money. There are no Honda deals with low interest rates at the moment, but if you prefer buying over leasing, you can still save money by using the Best Price Program.
2016 Toyota RAV4
Purchase Deal: Zero percent APR for up to five years
This month, Toyota is offering star-spangled savings on its RAV4, which is currently the best-selling SUV in the U.S. In select areas, Toyota deals include zero percent financing for five years on the 2016 RAV4 ($24,350) and zero percent financing for four years on the RAV4 Hybrid ($28,370).
With current auto loan rates averaging 3.26 percent for a five-year loan, buying either RAV4 model at zero percent APR will save you at least $2,000 over the course of your loan. Of these two models, the RAV4 Hybrid has a higher score in our compact SUV ranking and was named our 2016 Best Hybrid SUV for the Money. As expected, the RAV4 Hybrid gets much better fuel economy (33 mpg combined, compared to the RAV4's rating of 26 mpg combined), though it also costs about $4,000 more than the nonhybrid SUV. If you decide to pick the more fuel-efficient but pricier RAV4 Hybrid, use the Best Price Program for more savings.

2016 Chevrolet Malibu
Lease Deal: $199 a month for 39 months with $500 due at signing
The battle to be the top-ranked midsize car contains a field full of esteemed models, the Honda Accord and Mazda6 among them. The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu has the honor of being No. 1 (sharing its glory with the 2016 Hyundai Sonata), and it’s our 2016 Best Midsize Car for Families.
It's also the highest-ranked midsize sedan in Kogod's Made in America index. This Independence Day, you can lease a 2016 Malibu Limited for $199 a month for 39 months with $500 due at signing. If you are currently leasing a General Motors vehicle (which includes Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC), you can have the same monthly payment and qualify for no money down. If you're not sure which sedan suits you best, take a look at all of the models in our midsize car rankings. The 2016 Toyota Camry ($23,070) also has excellent scores in our ranking of the best midsize cars, and it’s our 2016 Best Midsize Car for the Money. Toyota deals give you a couple of different options to save money on your Camry purchase.
If you qualify for Toyota's finance special of zero percent APR for six years, you can save more than $2,300 in finance costs over the course of your loan. An even better offer, though, is Toyota's deal of $2,500 cash back for the 2016 Camry, which saves you more money than the zero percent interest offer if you end up financing at the current national average of 3.26 percent.
2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Lease Deal: $229 a month for three years with $2,999 due at signing

This lease special saves you almost $2,500 over current offers on the two-door 2016 Jeep Wrangler (its lease deals include one for $299 a month for three years with $2,999 due at signing). The Wrangler Unlimited allots you four full-sized doors, room for five (one more than the standard Wrangler), and more cargo room. The XLT model offers a few extra standards over the base F-150, including power door locks, a power locking tailgate, cruise control, an auxiliary audio jack, and one-touch power windows in the front.
2016 Kia Soul
Purchase Deal: Zero percent APR for 66 months and up to five months with no car payment
Celebrate your independent side with the Kia Soul, which blends quirky style with an impressive interior. Kia deals this Fourth of July include an offer of zero percent interest for 66 months on the 2016 Soul ($15,900), which won awards as our Best Compact Car and Best Hatchback for Families.
To put an extra sparkle in your holiday, Kia will pay the first two car payments and let you defer the next three payments. You'll still owe these payments, but with zero percent APR, no finance fees will accumulate. With these extra incentives, you can go five months without making a car payment.
2016 Hyundai Elantra
Cash Bonus Deal: Up to $2,750 cash bonus
If you buy a car with a cash bonus car deal, then you have the option of hanging on to some of your savings instead of spending it on a down payment. That means you’ll have the funds you need for more summer fun.

You'll save even more if you step up to the $20,250 Elantra Sport (which swaps out the standard 145-horsepower 1.8-liter engine for a 173-horspower 2.0-liter engine) or the $21,700 Elantra Limited (which adds amenities like a proximity key, dual-zone climate control, and leather upholstery). Hyundai is offering $2,750 retail bonus cash for both of these upgraded 2016 models.
