2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Purchase Deal: Zero percent interest or $1,500 cash allowance
Jeep (which still has a lineup exclusively made of SUVs) has only one entry in the midsize SUV category: the Grand Cherokee. This Independence Day, several offers are available on the 2016 Grand Cherokee, including zero percent financing for three years, or a cash allowance of $1,500.
Looking at the total costs of your loan, both of these deals will save you about the same amount on the base two-wheel drive Grand Cherokee Laredo, which has a starting price of $29,995. These offers are available on all Grand Cherokee models with the exception of the top-level SRT and SRT Night.
2016 Jeep Renegade
Purchase Deal: Zero percent interest PLUS $1,000 cash allowance
Jeep has an even better offer for the 2016 Jeep Renegade. This July 4th, you can finance a Renegade with zero percent interest for five years, plus get a cash allowance up to $1,000. The Renegade is already cheaper than most rival off-road SUVs. The base Renegade Sport starts at $17,995.
The Renegade is currently rated No. 3 in our ranking of the best subcompact SUVs, and it scores higher than the Jeep Cherokee, the Jeep Compass, and even the Jeep Wrangler in our comparison of the best off-road SUVs.
2016 Mazda CX-3
Lease Deal: $189 per month for three years with $1,989 due at signing
If you're looking to lease an SUV for less than $200 a month, Mazda has a great deal for you. This 4th of July, the 2016 Mazda CX-3 is available to lease in some areas for $189 per month for three years with $1,989 due at signing.
That's an excellent offer for an SUV that also scores very highly in our subcompact SUV ranking (it's currently No. 2 on the list). As a bonus, the CX-3 is loaded with standard features, including a 7-inch touch-screen display, a rearview camera, and push-button start.
2016 Nissan Rogue

Lease Deal: $179 a month for three years PLUS $2,689 due at signing for SE FWD 1.6L EcoBoost
In recent months, Ford lease deals on the 2016 Ford Escape have been running around $220 a month for a three year lease. This 4th of July, there's an excellent offer available: In select regions, you can lease an Escape SE for $179 a month for three years with $2,689 down.
The SE is the Escape's midrange trim model. Among its upgrades is a turbocharged 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, which includes auto start-stop and better fuel efficiency than the base 2.5-liter engine. The EcoBoost has an EPA rating of 23 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.
2016 Dodge Durango
Purchase Deal: Zero percent interest or up to $1,750 cash allowance
If you prefer a loan term that’s longer than three years (which lowers your monthly payments), consider Dodge's cash back offer. In select areas, Dodge is offering up to $1,750 in consumer cash for the 2016 Durango.
The Durango is already one of the least expensive models in the large SUV category, with a starting price of $30,495. It also saves you money at the gas pump, thanks to its class-leading EPA rating of 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
2016 Nissan Pathfinder
Cash Back Deal: Up to $2,000 cash back
Nissan has some of the highest cash back offers this July 4th. In select areas, up to $2,000 is available on the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder (note that you must finance through Nissan to be eligible for the full amount).
This deal reduces the Pathfinder's starting price to $27,830, making it one of the cheapest midsize SUVs available. The Pathfinder also has very good fuel economy for this class (rated at 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway). However, it struggles to standout in other categories. You may be able to get a better value by buying an SUV that ranks higher and using the Best Price Program to find the lowest price in your area.
2016 Lincoln MKX
Purchase Deal: Zero percent financing for up to five years PLUS $1,000 bonus cash
The 2016 Lincoln MKX is a midsize SUV that is packed with value. This year, it won our Best Luxury 2-Row SUV for the Money award, in part because of its upscale interior and low ownership costs. With the current Lincoln deals, the MKX is an even better value this 4th of July.
This Independence Day, Lincoln is offering zero percent financing for three to five years and is throwing in $1,000 in bonus customer cash on top. With auto loan interest rates averaging 3.23 percent at the moment, Lincoln's combination offer can save you more than $4,200 over the course of a five-year loan.
