With the year coming to a close and the winter weather starting to creep in, car dealerships across the nation will be working hard to get their 2015 models out of their lots and into your driveway. That means there will be plenty of new car deals available, and, according to an article by Automotive News, Ford will be leading the charge. After a slow sales start this year, Ford saw an increase in cars sold during September and now they are looking to extend their good fortune.

Starting November 3 and lasting until January 4, Ford will be starting their Friends & Neighbors Pricing Event. The event means that the price of almost every 2014, 2015 and 2016 model will receive discounts of up to 10 percent that can be combined with other current incentives, and Ford will be offering most vehicles at no-haggle prices within $200 of dealer invoice for the rest of the year. Mark LaNeve, Ford’s vice president of U.S. Marketing, is quoted in the Detroit Free Press as saying the promotion is “an inside deal – now for everyone.” Ford will also be offering additional deals on Black Friday and during the final days of the year.
Some of the vehicles that Ford wants to show off during this event include the newly redesigned 2015 Ford F-150 and 2015 Ford Edge. The F-150 currently ranks first on our Full Size Pickup Truck rankings and was a finalist for our 2015 Best Full Size Truck for the Money award. Automotive writers appreciate the F-150’s powerful lineup of engines and spacious cabin. The F-150’s base engine also gets better than average fuel economy for a full size pickup truck (18/25 mpg city/highway).

The Ford Edge ranks near the middle on our Affordable Midsize SUV rankings. It has high quality interior, a smooth ride and poised handling, according to reviewers. The Edge comes standard with front wheel drive and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, all-wheel drive and a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine or 3.5-liter V6 engine are optional. The Edge also received a five star overall crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and was named a top safety pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Driving.
Vehicles that will not be included in the deals are all high-performance Mustang models, the F-150 Raptor, the F-550 and above, stripped chassis trucks and the E-450. The Ford Focus ST, ranked in the top five of our Affordable Compact Cars, Ford Expedition, ranked in the top ten of our Affordable Large SUVs, and Ford Escape, ranked in the top five of our Affordable Compact SUVs rankings, will be at some of their lowest prices ever.
