2003 Honda Pilot

Honda is voluntarily recalling CR-V crossovers from model years 2002 through 2004 and model-year 2003 Pilot SUVs over a potential defect in the headlight wiring system. About 554,000 Honda vehicles in the U.S. are affected by the voluntary recall.

“The faulty wiring could cause the low-beam headlights to fail, increasing the risk of a crash,” writes Cars.com.

Honda says in a statement that it is unaware that any crashes or injuries related to this issue have been reported. Honda will begin contacting owners by mail and email in late April to schedule an appointment to bring their vehicle into the dealership. Honda dealers will inspect and perform the required repairs free of charge. Owners of the affected vehicles may contact Honda by visiting www.recalls.honda.com or calling 1-800-999-1009 and selecting option 4.
