Often times, those futuristic vehicles we see at auto shows seem unattainable because they’re so different from what’s currently on the road. However, automakers continue to hone those concepts into new models that will eventually hit the showroom floor. Examples include the Chevrolet Volt, which initially began life as a concept car in 2007, while the redesigned 2013 Ford Escape evolved from the Vertrek concept which was introduced earlier this year.
