Save Money With One of Labor Day’s Best Car Deals

The Labor Day Weekend may signal the beginning of the end of the summer to some. To car buyers, it’s the beginning of the fall sell-down season, as automakers offer deals to move the last of the 2020s along, and make room for 2021 cars, trucks, and SUVs to arrive.

There are several ways to save thousands of dollars with new car deals. Financing offers reduce or eliminate the interest you pay on your car loan. Cash back deals, or rebates, reduce the price you pay for your new vehicle. Lease deals provide low monthly payments, little or sometimes nothing due at signing, or both.

If you see a deal this Labor Day, it's critical you move fast to take advantage. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the production of new cars all but stopped for as long as two months. Some popular models are still in short supply, as automakers struggle to catch up to demand.

This Labor Day deals lineup spans the market, from a rare six-year 0% financing deal on the 2020 Volkswagen GTI to as much as $6,000 cash back on the 2020 Kia Sorento. There are zero-down lease deals on the 2020 Honda CR-V and an offer on the 2020 Kia Optima with payments as low as $139 per month.

Some automakers have yet published their Labor Day car deals. We’ll update this story as more deals are released.

With the coronavirus pandemic still raging, it’s not a good idea to spend hours in public spaces. The U.S. News Best Price Program can help you avoid that by connecting you to local dealers offering comprehensive online buying processes and home delivery. The program also provides both buyers and lease customers with pre-negotiated new car pricing.

Many of this month's best car deals are shown on the following pages. Dealers may not have the vehicles listed, or their stock may be limited. You'll need excellent credit to take advantage of most financing, lease, and many cash back offers.

All of the deals listed on the following pages expire on September 8, which is the Tuesday after Labor Day.
