6) 2017 Nissan Armada

U.S. News Score: 7.7/10 | $44,900

Reintroduced last year, the Nissan Armada features a quiet ride and ample power from its 5.6-liter V8. Handling may not be sporty, but neither is it clumsy when facing curves on secondary roads. Body roll is nicely controlled during cornering and the Armada feels secure under a wide range of driving conditions.

Towing capacity is up to 8,500 pounds. Fuel economy, however, lags some competitors in this class. Rear-wheel-drive models are EPA-rated at 14 mpg in the city and 19 on the highway. Deduct one mile per gallon from each of these numbers if you get all-wheel drive.
