Reviewers appreciate the R8's roomy cabin, comfortable seats, and solid build-quality, but are disappointed with the placement of the hard-to-reach sun visors and the optional CD changer on the R8, as well as the lack of cargo room.

Interior Features

The ‘10 R8 comes packed with loads of standard convenience features. Reviewers, however, disagree on how well they're placed, as well as the optional navigation system's usefulness.

  • "The R8 has a cockpit-style design theme that Audi calls monoposto, an arc of controls that wraps around the driver in the style of a single-seat racing car. In the Audi fashion, the instruments are notable for their clarity and the controls are ergonomically correct. With the fussy little buttons of the Porsche 911 Turbo for contrast, it's easy to appreciate the R8's systematic layout." -- Edmunds
  • "The flat-bottom steering wheel looks especially racy and has just the correct rim thickness and squishiness." -- Car and Driver

Other than its two passengers, the R8 doesn't have room to carry much else. In addition to a mere 3.5 cubic feet of cargo space in its front trunk, the R8 features a storage ledge behind its seats.
