Reviewers praise the 2010 Q5's high level of luxury. Some even compliment the cockpit controls, which are more intuitive than previous Audi models.

The Audi Q5 comes standard with leather seating for five. Reviewers find it comfortable and roomy, although they say the rear seat is a bit tight with three passengers – but that’s a common complaint for a compact SUV. The Q5 comes with power front seats, and heated front seats on Premium Plus and Prestige models.

Interior Features

The Q5 comes standard with luxury features including heated power mirrors, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control, wood decorative inlays and satellite radio. The top-of-the-line Prestige model adds a myriad of other features, but costs a whopping $11,000 more than the base model. Among its extras are a navigation system, iPod interface, parking system with rearview camera, and even a heated and cooled cupholder.

Test drivers say the general interface and optional navigation system are better than ever, though they have complained in the past about the complicated controls.

The 2010 Audi Q5's cargo capacity is good for a compact SUV – and even larger than its main rivals. Cargo capacity is 29.1 cubic feet with all seats in use and 57.3 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. By contrast, the less expensive Acura RDX and Infiniti EX provide just 27.8 and 18.6 cubic feet of space with all seats in use, respectively.

What really sets the Q5 apart from its class is its sliding rear seat, which can move about four inches forward to allow for more cargo space. An especially innovative feature is the standard roof rack, which senses when it's carrying a load and transmits the information to the Q5's electronic stability system. A power tailgate is standard for Premium Plus and Prestige trims.
