2013 Audi Allroad Overview

The 2013 Audi Allroad comes with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and critics said it offers strong acceleration in most situations. The Allroad has standard all-wheel drive, which is unusual in this class, and its eight-speed automatic transmission pleased reviewers with its seamless shifts. The 2013 Allroad gets an EPA-estimated 20/27 mpg city/highway, which is worse than what the 2013 Subaru Outback gets, but better than the all-wheel drive 2013 Volvo XC70’s ratings. While not quite sporty, reviewers said the Audi Allroad offers an enjoyable driving experience thanks to a comfortable ride, balanced handling and light, yet responsive, steering.

Reviewers agreed that the 2013 Audi Allroad’s interior has handsome styling, top-notch materials and excellent build quality. Some test drivers said the Allroad’s front seats are comfortable for taller people, but others wrote that it’s difficult to find a good driving position and that the rear seats could use more legroom. The 2013 Audi Allroad has a maximum of 50.5 cubic feet of cargo space, which is less than what most rival wagons offer. The Allroad comes standard with a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery and automatic climate control. Available features include Bluetooth, a power liftgate and Audi’s MMI navigation system with Audi Connect, which offers Google Earth imagery and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Many of the Allroad’s audio and climate controls have to be accessed through the MMI system, which makes them difficult to use, according to some critics.
