The 2019 Audi A7 has an attractive cabin finished with premium materials. It offers comfortable passenger accommodations and a good amount of space. It also has one of the largest cargo holds in the class. The A7's infotainment features are high-tech and user-friendly.

Seating

The 2019 A7 seats five people and comes standard with leather upholstery, heated and eight-way power-adjustable front seats, and a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. Options include Valcona leather upholstery, ventilated and 12-way power-adjustable front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and ventilated, 18-way power-adjustable front seats with massaging function.

The A7's front seats are comfortable and offer plenty of room for occupants to stretch out. Back-seat legroom is sufficient, but taller passengers may wish for more headroom.

Interior Features

Standard features in the 2019 A7 include a panoramic sunroof, tri-zone automatic climate control, proximity key entry, push-button start, and a 7-inch driver information display. The standard touch-screen infotainment system includes an 8.8-inch upper display, an 8.6-inch lower display, a 10-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, multiple USB ports, navigation, HD Radio, satellite radio, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Standard driver assistance features include a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking.

Optional features include rear sunshades, power soft-closing doors, four-zone automatic climate control, wireless device charging, a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit display, a 10.1-inch upper touch screen, and a 16- or 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. Optional safety technologies include blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, Audi Pre Sense Rear, a surround-view camera, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, a head-up display, night vision assistant with pedestrian detection, and Intersection Assistant. Intersection Assistant warns you if it detects cars approaching from the side as you move through an intersection.

The new dual-screen touch interface is fairly straightforward and easy to learn and use. Commands are processed quickly, and both haptic feedback and audio cues confirm when you click a virtual button. Aside from a volume knob, there are few physical controls.

What I like best about MMI is that quite often, there are multiple ways to access the same function, whether via menus, switchgear, natural voice control or personally set 'favorite' functions.
