2007 Audi A3 Overview

The 2007 Audi A3 combines the versatility of a compact hatchback with premium performance and safety. Kelley Blue Book says, "Audi's goal was to infuse the A3 with the sportiness of its impressive TT coupe and roadster, while at the same time giving buyers a versatile vehicle that can accommodate more cargo and passengers. In that Audi has definitely succeeded." The Detroit News concludes, "Outside of the jaw-dropping sticker and a few quibbles, there isn't much to dislike about the A3."

The 2007 Audi A3 is on Consumer Guide's recommended list. However, About.com echoes the most frequent criticism of the A3 when it writes, "The A3 has one big problem: It is seriously expensive." Kelley Blue Book says that "the Mazda 3 and Toyota Matrix are significantly less expensive but don't offer the premium panache of the A3." AutoWeek says, "The price may put some people off, but hey, if you want a cheap hatch go buy a cheap hatch." IntelliChoice gives the A3 a "better than average" value rating based on a total cost of ownership compared to other vehicles in its class.
