Audi's Small Coupe Gets the High-Performance RS Treatment

Audi is known for making luxury vehicles that are exciting to drive, and there may be no better representation of that than the Audi RS 5 Coupe. Based off the A5, the RS 5 takes Audi's sporty luxury small car and adds more power and even more high-performance features.

The RS 5 was originally introduced for the 2011 model year. It followed the release of earlier RS models like the 2007 Audi RS 4 and the 2003 RS 6. Audi hoped the original RS 5 would be able to do battle with Mercedes-AMG models, BMW M models, and the Cadillac V-Series coupes.

The 2018 Audi RS 5 more than doubles the horsepower numbers of the base A5, delivering 450 horsepower from an all-new twin-turbocharged engine. It features sporty accents up and down the exterior, with additional air intakes near the grille. Its interior is updated as well, with high-quality black leather seats that are both comfortable and supportive. On top of that, you can add additional aesthetic upgrades to both the interior and exterior, in case you want to stand out even more.

Curious to see what else Audi has added to their high-performance coupe? Read ahead and find out. Keep in mind that these specs are for the European version, as the American specs have not been released yet.
