The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia has three trim levels: Base, Ti, and Quadrifoglio. Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, a 6.5-inch infotainment display, an eight-speaker audio system, HD Radio, Bluetooth, and three USB ports.

We recommend the midlevel Ti trim for its added features, including heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an 8.8-inch infotainment display, and satellite radio.

True performance enthusiasts will want the Quadrifoglio. Building on the Ti trim, it comes with navigation and performance upgrades like the Alfa DNA Pro Drive Mode Selector, Pirelli performance tires, and carbon-fiber trim.

Alfa Romeo is still building its certified pre-owned inventory, but the automaker has given us some details about its CPO program. For its certified pre-owned vehicles, Alfa Romeo extends the original new-car powertrain warranty to seven years or 100,000 miles. CPO vehicles also get a three-month/3,000-mile Maximum Coverage Care warranty after a 175-point inspection. There are restrictions related to mileage and models. Because the program is so new and inventory is limited, it may be difficult to find a CPO Alfa Romeo Giulia near you.

With its strong brakes, precise steering, and athletic handling, the Giulia drives more like a sports car than many others in the class. This Alfa’s sensitive steering makes it fun to drive on a curvy backroads, but it can get annoying when commuting on the highway, where slight movements of the wheel can set you off center. The performance-tuned brakes have great stopping power, but they take some getting used to around town.

The base Giulia has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 280 horsepower. A 505-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 powers the Giulia Quadrifoglio, Acceleration is quick in the base engine but absolutely blistering in the Quadrifoglio, with a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds.
