How GM Does Family-Hauling SUVs

Within the General Motors family of brands, if you need a spacious midsize SUV and don’t want to break the bank, the Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia are your best bets. Both vehicles offer three rows of seating, with the Acadia topping out at seven passengers and the Traverse at eight passengers.

In fact, the Traverse and Acadia are built on the same platform, but they go about things a bit differently. The Traverse has a wheelbase that is 8.4-inch longer, and overall, is 10.7 inches longer than the Acadia. It has more passenger and cargo space, but adds weight, which could impact the ride quality.
