Fusion vs. Camry: Which Model Is the Best Buy?

The Toyota Camry and Ford Fusion are two of the best-selling midsize sedans on the market in a very competitive sales category. They both have family-friendly features and good safety scores. The Camry performs better in U.S. News & World Report rankings where it sits near the top, while the Fusion performs more modestly.

The 2017 Camry is the last model in the vehicle’s current generation. For 2017, Toyota made an enhanced multimedia system standard. Despite the upgrade, the price of the 2017 Camry, across all trim levels, remained the same from the 2016 cost. A redesigned 2018 model is expected to arrive at dealerships later this year.

After not receiving any major updates for 2016, the 2017 Fusion has been updated to include new technology and trim levels. Ford’s SYNC3 replaces SYNC with My Ford Touch as the car’s infotainment operating system. New driver assistance technologies are available. Sport and Platinum grades are new offerings for 2017.
