Lexus Refines Its Popular Midsize Luxury SUV

The Lexus RX has long been a great choice in the midsize luxury SUV market, a segment filled with respected rivals like the Mercedes-Benz GLE, Acura MDX, Infiniti QX60, and BMW X5. A strong record for reliability, premium cabin, and world-class driving comfort have made the RX a highly recommended choice and helps routinely place it near the top of our rankings.

But some things needed improvement, such as the smallish cargo area and confusing Remote Touch infotainment controller. With this in mind, Lexus has given the RX, and it’s three-row mechanical twin, the RX L, a refresh for the 2020 model year. The changes aren’t dramatic, though Lexus didn’t exactly need to rewrite the luxury SUV rulebook when it came to updating the RX.

So, let’s take a look at what’s new and improved with Lexus’ most popular sport-utility and discover how it measures up against the competition.
