Los Angeles Turns Electric

The automotive industry rolled out the red carpet to showcase their newest models at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. The show kicks off America’s major auto show season with dozens of new product unveilings. Most of the cars, trucks, and SUVs shown in LA will hit the streets in the next year.

Trend spotters at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show would tell you that the future is electric. The show hosted dozens of new vehicle introductions, and the majority of them featured electrified powertrains. There’s even an electric Ford Mustang crossover on the way.

Beyond the battery-electric cars, plug-in hybrids, and performance models with mild hybrid powertrains were a number of new compact and subcompact SUVs from around the world. Nissan continued its onslaught of redesigned sedans with the introduction of the 2020 Nissan Sentra

Of course, auto shows are a chance for automakers to preview future design directions. New concept cars from Hyundai, Volkswagen, and electric vehicle startup Karma made their debuts at the show.
