Redesigned 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan: What You Need to Know

2017 Volkswagen Tiguan

A Bigger SUV

Volkswagen is making the next-generation Tiguan bigger than its predecessor and will offer it with a third row of seating. The 2018 Tiguan will be 10.7 inches longer than the 2017 American-market Tiguan and 4.4 inches longer than the European model. Second row seats will slide to offer easy ingress and egress for third row passengers.

The increased wheelbase means that the Tiguan will offer owners more cargo capacity. The 2018 model ups the ante by 57 percent. When you do the math, it shows that the new Tiguan should have more cargo space than the Honda Pilot, Dodge Durango, and Nissan Pathfinder.
