Silverado vs. Colorado: Battle of the Chevy Pickups

Pickup trucks are the most popular vehicles sold in the U.S., and Chevrolet sells three classes of trucks, including the compact 2018 Chevrolet Colorado, the full-size Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and the heavy-duty Silverado HD. For most consumers, the choice is between the Silverado 1500 and the Colorado.

The Chevy Colorado was an all-new model for the 2015 model year, taking its name from another compact pickup that went out of production after 2012. The current generation of the Chevy Silverado was introduced for the 2014 model year. Neither truck has significant changes for the 2018 model year.

The Silverado is available in regular, extended, and crew cab models. Colorado pickups are available in extended and crew cab models. Both trucks are available with rear- or four-wheel drive.
