Winner: 2017 Nissan Murano (Details Below)

If launching on green lights or carving corners is your thing, neither of these SUVs are for you. Nissan engineered the powertrains for fuel economy and the suspensions for comfort.

The Rogue comes with a 170-horsepower engine, while the Murano features a 260-horsepower engine. That gives the Murano a mild edge, although its acceleration and overall driving capability might be best described as “adequate.” The Murano can tow up to 1,500 pounds, which isn’t a lot, but it is 50 percent more than the 1,000 pounds the Rogue can tow.
